Mel and Chris {Starship Sydney Wedding}

I’m often surprised about how small Sydney can be.

The first time we met Mel and Chris to chat about their wedding, I opened the door, and there was Mel. A familiar face. We had both trained together quite a few years ago.

It was so great having the opportunity to now photograph their beautiful day… and, it was also nice having that familiarity.

Also, a special mention to Ann Dally, the wedding celebrant for Mel and Chris. Ann’s ceremonies are always unique and personal and there was certainly a few wet eyes amongst the guests that day.

Mel and Ben

As we were walking through Observatory Hill photographing Mel and Ben, I was stopped by a lovely elderly lady who asked me, “Is this a celebrity wedding?”. I answered no. To which I received this perfect response, “The bride just looks so beautiful..she looks like a celebrity”.

Lindy and Tristan {The Deckhouse Sydney Wedding}

I didn’t have the fortune of photographing with Karl at Lindy and Tristan’s wedding. But, I did felt like I was there as I worked through the photos after the wedding.

As soon asI started working through the images from the reception, I couldn’t stop smiling and then every few minutes, I caught myself having a little giggle. It was so clear from the photos that Karl took, that everyone at the wedding was having such a fun time. I reflected on this for a moment. That photos can say so much that they make you smile or laugh (even though you may not have even been there yourself).
