Newborns

We love 'The First's'.

First smile, first grab, first roll and our favourite, first smile.  We're just going through it ourselves.  Isn't it amazing?

When is the best time to photograph your baby?

The best time to photograph your baby is in the first 2 weeks.  They are at their sleepiest and are a lot easier to pose.

That's not to say we can't photograph older babies, they just don't fit into a pumpkin.  Only kidding, we don't do pumpkins.

After the newborn stage, the next best opportunity to photograph your beautiful baby is when they can sit on their own, but not crawl.

This is a lovely stage and is often the smile-iest.

Families

Little newborn babies are best photographed in our studio, where it's warm and the change table is not far away.

We have a selection of fabrics and surfaces to photograph on, all under natural or studio lighting.

Mum, Dad and siblings are encouraged to join in the photographic session as well.

Families with toddler aged children are best photographed in a park or in the family home, where little bodies can run around, explore, and use up all that little-person energy, while still looking fantastic in the photographs.

We try to schedule the family sessions in the beutiful early morning or late afternoon light.

Grown up families are also best photographed in a park or the family home.

Depending on family numbers we would have some suggestions for the location.

Three or four generation family photo sessions are a great way to capture the whole family together, so why not call together a family day at the park, with a BBQ or picnic, and we'll come along for an hour's photographic session.

Hopefully before the kiddies get mud all over their best clothes !
